When I was a teenager, I loved the band Public Image Ltd. I wanted a shirt that represented my love for this band, and so I searched and searched, to no avail. Creative lil lad, as I was, I decided to make one for myself. I bought a little white T-Shirt, a Sharpie, and wrote the words, "Public Image Ltd." on the shirt, and thus began a life long love for hand made T-Shirts. Here are some examples of shirts I have made to sell or made to order. You can order yours today by emailing me. Feel free to follow me on Instagram at @sharonisabelcurley

For a strange 3 years of my life, I lived between Los Angeles, CA and Tucson, AZ. During this time, I struggled to find my niche among these slow moving west coasters. Through a hot hot summer in Tucson, I decided I had to take it up myself to find doing something I love. One day, in an office supply store, I picked up a composition book, and came up with the idea for #celebridoozy: To draw a celebrity a day, on their birthday, and find a weird, true, or otherwise interesting fact about this person. I posted these to an old Instagram account, and eventually in July 2016, displayed some of these in a solo exhibition in Philadelphia, PA.
A dear friend of mine, Brian Dwyer, opened the world's only Pizza Museum and Restaurant in Philadelphia called Pizza Brain. In February of 2013, I was about to make a big move out west to Los Angeles, and Brian asked me if I'd like to be part of month long solo exhibitions of art made with Pizza as the focal point. Delightedly, I accepted, and recreated some of my favorite paintings that featured tables in them. Whatever was originally on the table, I replaced with a box of pizza.
Summer 2013 was spent in perfect Los Angeles weather. I was unemployed, on emergency food stamps, and living on a couch. I went to a dollar store, collected some supplies, and began a new project of Paper Mache characters.
Portraits are something I struggle with as an artist, but love creating, regardless. Here are some examples of people I know.
With many many creative friends, I have been lucky enough to assist some of them on their artistic endeavors. To name a few: Giant Dwarf, Dressed By Lola, and Haley Trikes. Tasks included were usually something new for me, with the belief in these people that I could do it.. and I did! Here are some examples of sewing, cutting fabrics, gluing fabrics, dazzling up fabrics with glitter or sequins, cutting wood, grinding metal, painting wood, building tricycles!
I kept a journal as a child into my early twenties. At this point, in the last summer/early fall of 2002, I took every page of every journal that remained in my life, and I set them all on fire. It was one of the most insanely regrettable things I have ever done. At the time, the memories were too much to bring forward with me. It seemed I only ever focused on pain in every situation. I have since written bios for artists, developed the beginnings of wikipedia pages for artists, tried to keep up with my poetry, and I have become a weekly Astrologer for a local newspaper, then The Secret Admirer, and today for Title-Mag. Here are some examples of my work! I need to add a lot more!
As a self taught seamstress, I have designed, created, and assisted on costume making since the early 2000's. Making costumes for bands like Dr. Dog, Man Man, and Make a Rising, to assisting to the creation of costumes in Major Motion Pictures.
These are some movies I worked on as Costume Assistant or Costume Coordinator. See Resume page for more details.
